Husband to my favourite human Michelle, proud dad to sweet little Quinn, licensed wedding officiant in Ontario (and most of the US), and creator of some special moments where people marry their best friends, sometimes in front of 250 of their friends and family, sometimes with only a few witnesses, a helicopter, and an incredible view.
I love meeting couples in love, have a mild obsession with amazing coffee, and always have a smile on my face. Before I was licensed in 2015, Michelle and I had planned and coordinated just over 100 weddings in Ontario, and found one commonality: the ceremony was more often than not the least exciting part of the day.
I decided: no more boring weddings. No. More!
My approach to officiating is easy: create space for something amazing to happen. I mean, you’re marrying your best friend, that’s something worth celebrating!
Goodbye to: rigidity, formality, fluff, and extra words no one cares about, the boringness we’ve become accustomed to.
Hello to: laughter, clapping, cheering, crying, the freedom to feel all these things and more during a special moment felt by you AND your guests.
